Our Client is seeking a Full Time Medical Secretary/Receptionist. You will be ‘the face’ of the practice, setting the tone for all patient interactions. You will be happy to work autonomously and be responsible for all medical secretarial duties, patient liaison and patient flow management.
Key duties will include:
- Meeting and greeting patients.
- Providing a polite and thorough level of customer service both over the phone and in person with patients and families.
- Patient billing and receipting, including surgical billing
- Patient data management for appointments, correspondence, accounts etc.
- Schedule and manage bookings for patients.
- Organising and coordinating surgery admissions and dealing with relevant hospital paperwork.
- Typing medical letters.
- General office duties as required
The Successful Candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Medical Secretary / Receptionist
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service both in person and on the phone.
- Strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
- Previous experience in Medical Software would be preferred and proficient in medical terminology.
- Ability to liaise with hospital staff and other health professionals, as well as interact with people from a multitude of backgrounds, ages and personalities
- Demonstrated medical typing / transcription preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
