An exciting opportunity has become available for a Qualified Accountant OR Graduate Accountant to join one of the leading Business Accounting Firms in Shepparton. This firm specialises in working with business owners and their services include financial reporting, income tax return preparation and planning, business advisory, and bookkeeping services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking either a recent Graduate Accountant or a Qualified Accountant who possesses prior business accounting experience within Australia. The successful candidate will be fluent in English and familiar with Australian accounting standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and income tax returns for all types of business structures.
- Conduct account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Preparing of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Support senior accountants with various accounting tasks and projects.
- Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to address financial and taxation inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate, or you possess an Australian degree in accounting from an Australian university.
- Prior accounting experience in Australia is essential.
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software such as Xero or MYOB would be beneficial but not essential.
