FOX PERSONNEL is seeking a Full Time Accounts Payable Officer for our client Shepparton. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of financial and administrative support.
Overview
This position is responsible for providing financial and administrative support to finance function and team along with the group. This includes responsibility for the accounts payable processes, including entering & monitoring payments and expenditures in an accurate, effective, and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
• Cost code and input invoices into the accounting system for approval and payment.
• Maintain a well-organised system for processing and filing invoices and related documents.
• Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up to date and discrepancies are resolved.
• Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company expense policies.
• Prepare and process electronic payments in a timely manner.
• Communicate with internal and external vendors to resolve billing issues, disputes, and discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliation and reporting.
• Assist in maintaining accurate accounts payable aging reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Stay current on industry best practices and regulations related to accounts payable.
• Reconcile and coding of company issued credit cards to statements.
• Preparation of software generated electronic transfer files and process credit card payments.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee related files.
• Provide support to the Accounts Receivable and cash reconciliation process.
• Financial and other general office administration duties as required from time to time.

• Previous experience and exposure to finance/accounting would be advantageous.
