One of our loyal long-term clients has engaged Fox Personnel Recruitment to source an experienced temporary Field Officer (Construction) for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected organisation on a temporary basis, supporting vital maintenance and construction works across irrigation and dam infrastructure.
About the Role:
In this hands-on role, you will work under the direction of a Field Supervisor and be involved in a range of field-based activities, including civil construction, maintenance, plant operation, weed control and the use of safety and reporting systems. The position requires someone who is self-motivated, safety-focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Expected project completion, 18th December 2025.out the role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out civil construction and maintenance tasks, including earthworks, concreting, pipeline laying and rehabilitation works.
- Operate plant and equipment such as excavators, graders, trucks, tractors and compaction machinery.
- Undertake aquatic and terrestrial weed spraying in line with the Herbicide Use Manual.
- Complete daily records, plant logs, spray reports and use computer-based maintenance systems.
- Follow safety systems and participate in toolbox talks, meetings and continuous improvement activities.
- Uphold excellent customer service and represent the organisation’s values at all times.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Industry-recognised Safety Card
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in civil construction, maintenance or the agricultural sector
- HR Truck Licence
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Police Check and Australian Working Rights
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction
- Competency/licences for plant operation within the water industry
- Building or construction trade qualifications
- First Aid Level 2, Spotters, Doggers, and Traffic Management Level 2
