Fox Personnel is a recruitment agency Sunshine Coast employers can call for temporary staff, labour hire and permanent recruitment. We have been recruiting since 1999 and opened our Queensland office in 2025. This page explains how working with us goes, so you know what to expect before you pick up the phone.

How it works

1. Tell us what you need. Call 1300 022 211 or use the form on this page. We ask about the role, including items such as:
   • hours of work
   • days of work
   • duties involved
   • any qualifications required
   • the start date
   • the kind of person who fits your team
2. We send you a proposal. We then send our proposal for your approval. Once we have it back, we begin our search.
3. We find and screen candidates. We search our very large database, advertise where it helps, interview each candidate twice, and check references and licences.
4. You choose. For temporary and labour hire placements, we decide who is the best fit for your business. However, if you have a preference, we can send you a couple of candidate reports so you can decide. For permanent placements, we normally send you our shortlisted candidates, each with a detailed report including their resume, interview notes and reference check notes. You can then decide who you would like to interview in person.
5. They start, and we stay in touch. Your consultant checks in after the start date. If something is not working, tell us and we will sort it out.

There is no charge for any of this until someone starts. We only charge when a person starts in your business for a permanent placement, or for the hours worked for labour hire.

Temporary, labour hire or permanent?

Temporary staff and labour hire suit leave cover, busy seasons, projects, or roles you are not ready to make permanent. The worker is employed by Fox Personnel, so we look after wages, super, workers’ compensation insurance and payroll. You receive one invoice for the hours worked.

Permanent recruitment suits roles you want filled for the long term. We run the search and you employ the person directly. The placement is backed by our guarantee.

What roles do you recruit for?

Any role, at any level, in any industry, from labourers and warehouse staff to office, trades, professional and management positions.

Which areas do you cover?

The whole Sunshine Coast, including Noosa, Maroochydore, Caloundra and Nambour, as well as Gympie, Caboolture and Brisbane.

How quickly can you fill a role?

It depends on the role. Temporary and labour hire requests can often be filled at short notice from people already registered with us, while a permanent search takes longer. We will give you a realistic timeframe when you call.

What does it cost?

Temporary and labour hire staff are charged at an hourly rate that covers the worker’s pay and on-costs. Permanent recruitment is charged as a placement fee. Either way, the figure is in the proposal we send you, and there is no charge until someone starts.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Fox Personnel holds Queensland Labour Hire Licence LHL-08952-H1N2Y. Every labour hire provider in Queensland must be licensed, and you can check any provider on the government register.

Do you supply hospitality staff?

Chefs, wait staff, bar staff and kitchen hands are supplied by our sister company, SSC Hospitality, which has serviced Sunshine Coast venues since 2011.
