Fox Personnel has been engaged by our client, a respected name in high-quality beverages and sustainable manufacturing, who is seeking a passionate and proactive OHS Officer to lead the development and implementation of a workplace safety program across our Wangaratta and surrounding operations.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Department , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programs and policies. You’ll act as the key liaison for WorkSafe and lead initiatives that promote a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a company-wide OHS program
  • Promote a positive safety culture through training and regular engagement
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage hazards using the hierarchy of control
  • Investigate incidents and manage reporting obligations
  • Lead emergency planning and WorkCover claims, including return-to-work coordination
  • Stay abreast of changes to relevant legislation, compliance codes, and Australian standards
  • Represent the organisation’s values and commitment to employee wellbeing

About You

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, or minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident with basic computer systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Current driver’s licence

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Level 2 First Aid certification

Salary – $85,000-$90,000 plus Super
