The Role: A manufacturing company within easy reach of Bendigo required an Electrical Technician to carry out installations, maintenance and repairs and participate in engineering projects.

Objectives
• Assist in all aspects of Electrical, Installations, Maintenance and repairs to equipment ensuring the equipment meets all relevant electrical standards.
• Assist other engineering team members in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
• Exercise professional knowledge and judgement whilst making sound decisions that contribute to the overall achievements of the Engineering team
Requirements
• Ensure all work is conducted within Food Safety (HACCP) standards as per procedure “Food Safety (HACCP)”
• Records: Ensure accurate records of engineering are kept, as per procedure “Plant maintenance and repair program”.
• Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions
Routine and preventative: Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to prevent and minimise unplanned downtime of equipment and machinery, as per procedure “Plant maintenance and repair program”
• Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, setup functions, enter data or process information
Projects: Prepare and participate in engineering and capital projects as required
• Prepare designs, specifications, technical instructions, submissions and reports
• Confer with vendors, staff and management personnel regarding purchases and project status
• Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job and QMS documentation
• Provide mentoring, guidance and support as required
