The Role:
As the Retirement Village Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the village, ensuring a safe, vibrant, and well-maintained environment for all residents. You will lead a dedicated team, manage daily operations, and build strong relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of community and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the village, ensuring high standards of service.
- Provide leadership to staff, ensuring a motivated and engaged team.
- Ensure the village complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage budgets, financials, and reporting to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
- Act as the main point of contact for residents, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Coordinate property maintenance and liaise with external contractors for ongoing improvements.
About You:
- Proven experience in a management role, ideally within community living. (Preferred but not essential)
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent financial management skills with experience managing budgets.
- A caring, empathetic nature with a genuine interest in enhancing the lives of retirees.
- Tertiary Qualification (Desirable)
- Knowledge of retirement village legislation and compliance (or the ability to quickly learn).
- Ability to handle complex situations and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Drivers Licence and First Aid Certificate (mandatory)
