Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Leading Hand Scaffolder to join their team in Bendigo. This role is ideal for an experienced scaffolder who is ready to take the next step in their career, overseeing teams and ensuring the safe and efficient erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.

As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in supervising and coordinating scaffolders on-site, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of scaffolders on various construction sites.
• Ensure all scaffolding work complies with Australian safety regulations and site requirements.
• Assist in the erection, dismantling, and modification of scaffolding structures.
• Conduct safety checks, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of scaffold inspections and work completed.
• Train and mentor junior scaffolders and apprentices.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly.

Requirements:

• Current Advanced Scaffolding Ticket (SI) – Essential.
• White Card (Construction Induction) – Required.
• High-risk work licence relevant to scaffolding.
• Minimum 3–5 years of scaffolding experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations in Australia.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.
• Physically fit with the ability to work at heights.
• HR or MR Licence (desirable but not essential).
